Entertainment programs come and go by so fast, it is easy to lose track. Fortunately, I jotted them down and will review as many as I possibly can.
No Cable TV, Just Download
While we have cable TV, I do not watch ANY of it.
I download every entertainment program, watch it online, or borrow Blu-Rays and DVDs from the library. I never used to download, but when I upgraded from Windows XP (Microsoft’s “support” ended) to Linux, software such as VLC made it worthwhile. It is the best video application I have ever EVER used. Windows Media Player was a nightmare. Awful.
Drama, I Love
A majority of the online shows I watch are KDrama, although I doubt I will be reviewing any.
I have seen so many that I don’t think I remember any unless it was an outstanding show.
Korean movies I will likely review.
GOALS: The Review List
In no particular order, I want to write a post about the following, and of course, there will be more eventually:
Oh, there have been a lot of events over the years, where I felt the urge to blog about it. But thankfully, I stifled the urge until it died. Sometimes it is better to say nothing, than anything at all.
Who needed my hot take on current events anyway?
What have I done during my years of absence? Moved from the suburbs to a rural location. I can walk and talk to cows from my house. I’m on a quarter acre of land, so that’s a sufficient distance from neighbors. And folks around here are pleasant without being nosy or looking to one-up anyone.
Did I mention it is cheaper here? Unlike my former residence where I had to carry cash or pay a toll just to hit the road, living is simpler. The lower stress makes the people more pleasant. And selfishly, any developments I see make me uneasy.
Go away, I say.
Am I happy? Life is what I’ve made it. I’m here for now. It’s satisfactory. Whatever I can change is something I will have to work towards, like everything else.
My goal is write about the few movies, TV shows, books (if I ever read again) and other entertainment that I want to review. If it’s about current events, maybe I’ll have a hot take, maybe I wont.
I hope everyone else is doing better than great with their lives.
So, for some of you this may be old news, but I like this story….
On August 24 – 24, an event called KCON took place in Los Angeles at LA Memorial Sports Arena. This venue accommodated a doubling of attendance from last year to around 20k.
G-Dragon performed his new single Nilira with Missy Elliott. The history-making aspect being she’s the first and only, so far, non-Asian to perform at this KCON. Although she’s not the first black woman artist to do a song with a K-Pop star. Lil Kim did one with Se7en. I think Amerie did one with him as well. There may be others.
See how black women roll?
From what I’ve read, G-Dragon and Missy Elliott are mutual fans. He asked her to collaborate with him. What makes it work is that they have a similar style. They mesh very nicely – in sync, in rhythm and flow.
