Decepticons: The Jason Collins Story and Wasting Years of Your Life Waiting on Him

Long-winded title, but hoping you get the point.

Maybe you’ve heard about it. Maybe you’ve been blissfully unaware of the hullabaloo that’s dominated the mainstream media for a couple of days.

See, what happened is an NBA baller (snicker) earned his 15 minutes of fame by declaring that he is – wait for it – wait for it – “gay.” Such an interesting euphemism. However, this is the deal: Jason Collins realizes that he enjoys, prefers and wants to have SEX, MAKE LOVE and HAVE RELATIONSHIPS with other men.

And he truly believes we, meaning everybody on the planet, needed to know this. Whamp. Whamp. (Sound of sad trumpet blaring.)

After I stopped laughing over the last few days, my hands were steady enough to compose this post. Ay, yay yay.

baketball2

He Was Afraid of What Now?

Jason Collins is 7 feet tall. He’s a multimillionaire. He attended Stanford University. He knows the Clintons, Obama and other elites. That’s a big, powerful, well connected and wealthy closet he chose to climb out of.

So, I just wanna ask: How could anybody so ridiculously massive and intimidating claim to be fearful of being “gay” in this day and age? I mean, someone is gonna talk smack to a big black guy nearly 300 lbs in weight? LOL.

This is ridiculous.

Our Pretender-In-Chief, The Man Who Never Stops Campaigning

Obama felt the need to thrust himself into this particular spotlight by calling on this cloistered, privileged, bench-warming and obscure NBA player. He had to congratulate him on being a homosexual. That’s important. Really, really important. Glad to know what the President’s priorities are. ‘Cause it’s not like he’s able to work with Congress. It’s not like he can focus on the economy. He’s got better things to do. Like playing golf, shooting hoops, coming up with those all-important March-madness brackets, etc.

He shows us he can focus: Michelle once complained that she was a “single mother.” Totally understandable. He’s a busy man.

And at the press conference he needed to mention it again. There are homosexuals and lesbians playing professional sports. Who’da thunkit?

Maybe at the start of each game, as they introduce the players, announcers can add: “Welcome player number zero, OchinoDumbo. He’s a heterosexual from Baltimore, with 12 children from his 5 baby mommas. Yet, on long trips, he can be delightfully bi-curious.”

Waiting 8 Years on a DeceptiCon

The part of this story that I find interesting is who got the stiff (oh, wrong word), er, raw end of this deal. Seems that Jason had a white woman, whose name is Moos (I am not making this up), that he DATED for 8 YEARS. Even was engaged to be married to.

Now, ain’t this a blip?

This relationship didn’t end when he was a young man, maybe still confused, torn or excited. This dude was about 30, if not older, when he changed his mind. But he rode (oh, wrong word again), used this woman as his golden beard for 8 long years, while he thought, supposedly agonized, and mulled it over.

Meanwhile, she said on one of those interviews that she, “Had a script of how life was going to be”, or something to that extent.

What the Problem Is

It is NOT that he’s (finally) admitted he enjoys the sweet, sweet taste of sweaty scrotum. No, not at all. More people should be honest – they just don’t have to tell the whole world. No one really cares. The issue is that Jason Collins deceived a woman, used her youth, her fertility, her time and her mental “scripting” while he knew he was living a lie.

That is down low behavior, which is foul and the heart of how a DeceptiCon behaves. It ain’t right.

Now, people may sympathize with his conflicts, or situations, but it doesn’t mean he had to drag her into it. And for such a long time.

Ms Moos is partly at fault as well. You don’t hang onto a man for that long. I don’t care if you knew him from way back when, like in high school or college. At some point, you either cut bait or reel him in. I know, I know, she was waiting for the “pay off.” And the cynic in me feels that, she would have been satisfied being married to a man who occasionally played for the other team. Discretely, of course.

Well, that kind of arrangement is nothing new. She wouldn’t have mind, because she’d have the money, status and “stability.” Plus, a divorce or alimony would have been sufficient compensation for the “estrangement of affections.”

Black Women Get Reamed This Way Quite Often

My last bit of surprise is that this was a “well-educated good black man”, a.k.a. purple unicorn, pulling this kind of DeceptiCon on a white woman. Look, I won’t front, I honestly thought that when you see an IR couple, and it’s BM / WW, even if he’s gonna have his “issues” – he’s going to be genuinely attracted to her. You know, there’s that Mandingo, Snowbunny, Jungle Fever lust and “white women let me be a man” kind of thing going on.

This changes my perception, ’cause here we got a black guy who was being a DeceptiCon (on the down low) with a pretty blonde white woman for 8 years!!! This is the kind of thing that gets shrugged at if the woman is black. Does anyone really think the media would even be talking to a black ex-girlfriend about Jason Collins? Color me skeptical.

I noticed the media wasn’t sure how to handle Ms Moos: Was she a victim or will she play the sympathetic understanding woman? This involved competing angles: the 7 feet tall big black “gay” man vs a pretty blond ex-fiancee. I’d say Jason Collins got the slight edge. He won the homecoming queen crown of this event.

Shock and Oh Hell Naw

And what a gut punch that confession must have been for Ms Moos, which happened well before the media got full wind of it.

She wasted 8 years!!!! on a man who she now has to “replay those scripts in her head.” Those scripts where she thought he was a wonderful guy, because he NEVER cheated on her with those awful, skanky FEMALE basketball groupies. What a great and faithful guy she must have thought of her big black man. Now, she’s gotta be wondering about all those times he was out “balling” with his male friends. ‘Cause he spent so much time with his buddies, she never gave it a second thought.

I hope she’s gone through her battery of tests, being with a DeceptiCon can be deadly to a woman’s health.

Lessons for the Day

Doesn’t matter how much money he has, that pay day may never arrive.

If he’s hanging with his buddies too much, that niggling suspicious might be an accurate gut check.

A year, maybe even less, is really all you need to decide whether he’s marrying you or not. Anything longer and you are wasting your own time.

Shows that being in an IR doesn’t mean he cannot be a DeceptiCon. He might even feel more secure with his subterfuge.

And there is nothing HEROIC or COURAGEOUS about a man using a woman in such a cruel way to further his own means and ends. A man of any age can waste time, but a woman, unfortunately, cannot. Her time is of essence. It is her life and to use someone for that long a time shows a callousness that borders on being a sociopath.

So, it’s interesting to see that some black males, even when they get a hold of white women, are still a hot dysfunctional dishonest mess. He will be bringing all his baggage with him, that which he has always claimed belonged to black women.

How exhausting some of these men are.

And Congratulations to Mr Jason Collins!

You enjoy having sex with men. So do I. Welcome to the club. 😀

So, President Obama Cannot Call A Black Woman “Best Looking”?

Spot Check: Controlling That Narrative About Beauty

I’m not the biggest fan of the man, based on his performance in office, but the shrieking and howling by the media is hilarious.

All I notice is that the biggest complainers of the President calling Kamala Harris, “The best-looking Attorney General in the country,” were white women in the media.

Folks, some people hate it when others are the center of attention. These white women, who claim to be feminists, but are really white women supremacists – in other words, everyone must worship them – just hate it when they are not the queen bees, beauty queens or objects of (sexual) attention for every man on the planet.

They complain too much about it for anyone to find them believable.

And it ain’t about sexism. That’s a phony cover. What actually made the comment objectionable for those white women complainers is that the President (who in their eyes is a black man) wasn’t doling out that delicious “Hotness Factor” to them. I can bet that if he said that about a white woman in the same position, none of these chicks would be whining about “sexism”.

He has, in fact, called Debbie Wasserman Schultz, “Cute“, and that was a while (months, maybe years) ago. Still haven’t heard a negative peep about it.

Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris

Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
The pictures speak for themselves.

Cause I’ve yet to see one of them get as bent out of shape and indignant when other men, celebrity or otherwise, talk about how they are the absolute finest women around. And that’s regardless of whether it is true or not about a particular white woman – as long as her hair is bleached blonde.

Jealousy doesn’t look good on these people.

Poor President Obama. He told the truth (from his perspective) about a black woman (yes, I know she’s mixed) and the liberals, progressives and feminists who are supposed to be his best buds turned on him.

Don’t forget now, the biggest group of voters who didn’t support Obama the second time around were white women, but you’ll never see that in the mainstream media. They have a narrative to push. I’m surprised they didn’t try to turn his complimentary remarks into hate speech – against them.

Well, I suppose it is, once the man uttered the word, “Best-looking”, they heard nothing else.

Ever see that kind of nonsense run amuck for any other group of people?

Yeah, yeah, I know all the parties in question are mixed, but I’m going with a bit of social grouping here. This is for when you ask yourself, Why does a very famous, incredibly powerful and wealthy black man have to apologize for calling a black woman good-looking?

Wayne Brady vs Bill Maher: How a Good Brotha Fights A Bad White Man

He does it by talking about the black women (of questionable repute) that the “bad white man” dates.

Say What?

Apparently, Wayne Brady (WB) got plenty tired of Bill Maher (BM) using his name to lament President Obama not being hardcore or thuggish enough to suit him. Perhaps both should search YouTube for that video remake of a Waka Flocka rap where President Obama is as thug-like as they want him to be. It is so funny. Not.

In an interview with the tall, black and beautiful Aisha Taylor (whose husband is white), Wayne Brady utters some of the following (excerpted from Mediaite):

“I’ve had Bill Maher twice now when referencing Obama, [sic] he’s like ‘yeah, with your Wayne Brady’ — it’s a diss to Obama to be called me,” Brady explained to Tyler on her podcast this week, noting that Maher wanted a “brother brother.” Accusing Maher of only having the “particular black experience” of “fuck[ing] black hookers,” he explained that he did not confront Maher usually because “if I would have gone on his show or even doing it online, I’m not going to win, he still has his platform.”

But Brady explained that Maher was wrong to think of Brady as somehow not “black enough.” “I’m not saying I’m really badass but, if Bill Maher has his perception of what’s black wrapped up, I would gladly slap the shit out of Bill Maher in the middle of the street, and then I want to see what Bill Maher would do.” He explained that he wouldn’t actually do this “because I’d get sued and lose my house and its not worth it for me, but the black man part of me would be so satisfied to slap the shit out of him in front of Coco and Ebony and Fox, the three ladies of the night that he has hired.”

It Is Such An Epic Smackdown

Lemme tell you something, Wayne Brady is essentially a “good brotha”. See how bad-ass this man is? He uses a lot of profanity. He talks about Bill Maher’s sex life. He’s showing us he can be street. Keepin’ it real. What a profile in courage. Courage! I tell you.

  • WB does not ask BM to invite him onto his show for a man-to-man showdown. Nope. Instead, he makes these comments on a podcast with a relatively well-known black woman (who’s married to a white man) to talk smack about BM’s sex life with “black hookers”.
    • This tactic looks familiar, a “good black man” (married to a non-black woman) runs to a black woman to talk about a white man’s sex life. There’s just too much mess here to unpack.
  • WB does not ask BM to invite him onto his show for a man-to-man showdown. WB admits he would not win, since BM would get the last word. Apparently, BM is so very all-powerful. Does WB think we’re supposed to believe it is simply by virtue of getting the last word? In this age of social media?
    • One of the most “powerful / popular” people on Facebook is George Takei (a.k.a Mr. Sulu). Nearly everybody can get a last word in.
  • WB falls into role playing a wanna-be-thug anyway, just to convince others that he is not an emasculated, weak, well-behaved, white accommodating negro. Then he proceeds to talk about himself – nearly in 3rd person for additional distancing – just to express his desire to smack BM. Is he afraid of going to jail if he made the threat directly?
    • I get that he’s joking. But it was funny when he did it on Chappelle’s Show.
  • Why does WB make black women (they are still human beings – I know a lot of people forget this) part of the focal point in his courageous blasting of BM? Since when is smacking a white man in front of black women (for whom WB obviously has no respect for) something to be in awe of? They are already denigrated for being black women.
    • Why bring them into his diss of BM? Because at the end of the day, he is the emasculated, weak, well-behaved, white accommodating negro he’s referenced as.

They Can Never Put Their Egos Aside

I know some of us love misdirection, and will think this topic is about Bill Maher or the “type” of women he likes to be seen in public with. I’m looking at the composition of what one man said about another. I expected a direct man-to-man retort, but that – in my eyes – never occurred.

Somehow a “good brotha” decided that the best way to insult a “bad white man” inevitably involved black women and sex. (And this topic is an old one.)

Don’t be fooled by the “black hooker”, “black prostitute” or “black women are easy” talk. You and I know some negroes never make a distinction when it comes to black women (as prostitutes), white men (as exploiters) and sex (always purchased, never about love).  Their goal is to continually promote this negative, tainted image.

“Good black men” or “good brothas” like to pretend that their sex / relationships with non-black women is about uplifting liberation, real love and reclaiming “black male pride” as reigning penis-champions, whereas black women are eternally debased sex slaves to all non-black men. And any man who tangles with us, no matter how low he is, will sink even further down.

You cannot ever win – the freedom to date whomever you like – if you ever give an inch to this type of argument and logic. Especially when used to serve the extremely fragile ego of a black male defending himself from a white man.

A Simple Rule of Thumb: Keep Black Women Out of It

If a “good brotha” is having a fight with a “bad white man” – let us all step far back and way way out of reach. ‘Cause when the fists start swinging – the “good black man”  is gonna end up punching black women in the face whilst pretending he couldn’t touch the “bad white man”. Somehow it’ll be because he keeps missing his target.

Yet, the truth is: he was always aiming for the black woman….

The Next Disaster: Will It Be Us?

Does tragedy come in threes? fours? a score or more? I am certainly not wishing for it. I’ve been briefly taking in the news on Japan, because I don’t want to take it up to “disaster porn” level. I’m hoping that the Nuke Reactors get under control, and nothing worse happens.

Are You Ready For a Disaster?

Stay Prepared*

It’s a question one must ask these days. As we can see, even the most organized and wealthiest government(s) wont bring the kind of immediate help we see in Hollywood disaster movies. The reality would be like Katrina, if not possibly worse. In times of chaos, whether fast or slow, you have to rely on yourself, family, friends, and honorable acquaintances.

I don’t think anyone could ever been too prepared.

Based on the dangers in your area: flood, tornado, hurricane, or earthquake. Ask yourself this: Are you properly insured? Do you have backup copies of your personal papers off site? Maybe you decide to keep important papers in a bank safety deposit box?

If you have to run out the door (with the devil at your back) – is there a bag with first aid kit, spare underwear (never underestimate the need for extra knickers), wipes, water, snack(s), a bit of cash, etc. within reach to help if you cannot get back home right away?

I keep this stuff in my car – traffic can be hell in New Jersey. 🙂

Preparation List from Volunteer Mid-South

The American Boiling Frog

I keep feeling like there is some low-level stuff going on, creeping along, that’s bad, bad, bad, but we all cannot see it. Like the entire nation is a frog sitting in slowly boiling water.

The economy is in a grind. The cost of food is rising. Rising oil price is going to choke off economic growth. There are millions of people out of work, and likely millions more who are homeless.

Yet, the media doesn’t see or talk about them. Curious.

Come On! Must We Be Involved In Another War?

Deja vu all over again. Does no one in Washington, DC ever pay attention? How many times have we been thanked, after America has invaded to “help”, with terrorist attacks or “man-made disasters” and deadly shoot-outs? Sometimes it is best to stand by and watch people who are typically ungrateful and violent.

When our government gets involved for some reason – they don’t know when to leave. Is that the goal? Another country to have troops to sit in?

Do these people not remember that we had a no-fly zone over Iraq for nearly a decade?

I suspect, if the UN Resolution was enforced (to institute a no-fly zone over Libya), the media would immediately report that portions of that country revolting against Qadhafi or number of deaths were exaggerated.

Get Outdoors and Have Fun

Spring is here. Time to get out and play.

Have a good one.

I Have to Support President Obama, Because He’s a Black Man

At least, according to Miss Jina:

@Blog author and Bellydancer

WOW..You are on here saying what has Obama done nothing for you? Wow..What the f*** did the other forty or so white presidents do for you? This is why black people can’t get ahead. Some people in the group always want to tear each other down.

What about these things: his work w/ the black farmers, his choice for attorney general, his choice for U.N Ambassador, health care reform and how he’s planning to address education among many other things. Instead of trying to project your issues w/ black men unto this man you should really reflect. Yes some black men or people aren’t worth defending, but this black man, our president, is. It is a shame that you don’t see why.

Some of you women are so happy that 2% of whites want you, but know that the other 98% won’t even look at you and that doesn’t just go for relationships, but that also affects you in your studies, jobs and overall life–racism is real and race does matter. Don’t think that HRC or Mccain would have hired a plethora of black women or men because I can tell you right now that they wouldn’t have. I know most of you want what Michelle has and can’t get it–that doesn’t mean that you have to break what she has.

Yes it is important that Obama do a good job because he carries with him an unreasonable weight as the first black president. But it is also important that we as a community support him, because honestly when things get tough if we don’t who will. This man has passed so many reforms in these past two years and what have people called him–“timid”, “calm, cool and collected but ineffective” or “a talker”.

I know you guys are into this white men movement right now, but don’t let it cloud your awareness of who you are and how America views you and people like you.

This is my response:

Project my issues? People like me? Really? {{blinking}}

Jina, kiss my rotund, sepia-toned ass. 😀 You “ride or die” for da “brothas” she-males get on my bloody nerves; none of you have a lick of common sense.

You are nobody to tell me how black I am, or how I need to be aware of this blackness. Take your “acting black” mentality back to the hood where it’s required.

A President is the leader of the country. He is a representative, a public servant, not an imperial diety I am required to support, because he’s half-African. This dude can barely speak up for his “cousins” in Egypt, or the rest of North Africa, furthermore, who are clamoring for all the FREEDOMS we take for granted here.

I can criticize him for as long as the day is long. That’s my right.

This President is great at giving speeches, and I’m hoping that the economy is recovering, but I don’t give him credit for it. He seems unable to figure out what he wants to do one day from the next, but it’s probably (quote from nymag.com) because ….

The president’s friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett sometimes pointed out that not only had he never managed an operation, he’d never really had a nine-to-five job in his life.

And it shows. His head is extremely big, and he’s not even aware of how clueless he is. That’s pathetic. And it’s extra, because he’s been complimented all of his life. Why? Because as a black man who speaks well – he’s been applauded and patted on the head for it. No need to prove competence. He’s just this wonderbar, because he’s an “articulate” black male. No earned props, because he just is.

That’s not good enough.

I respect his wife, because of what she representsthe first black lady, but I sure as heck don’t want her man. He’s not my type, ’cause we all worship white, and non-black, men around here, remember?

And this is MY blog, it’s one thing to disagree, but when you come at me with this insulting commentary, about how I’s gotta deify and support one black man, and if I don’t, I got issues with all black men, then I’m gonna tell you this: Go fuck yourself, Jina.

Have a good day. 😀

To The Black Women Who Defend Barack Obama (or Any Black Male)

Shellacking

November 2nd was a shocker wasn’t it? Wow, that was some election. Where did all the progressives and liberals go? Are they only in California, Connecticut, Delaware, and New York?

President Obama

I know a lot of you think that the sole and most important reason for the Republican and Tea Party takeover of the House of Representatives and gain of several seats in the Senate was due to racism.

It could be. It could be. I wouldn’t rule out that as a reason for some portion of the political shift.

Superman vs. Below Average

I think you also have to realize that the rest of the US population isn’t interested in “helping a brotha out”, or “giving him a chance, because it’s only been two years”, or “hey, we’d be worse off if he didn’t do X, Y, and Z!” The thing is, folks expected him to perform – way way above par. He was expected to be exceptional. Never take that for granted. Especially in your own lives – on the job or when put in charge of something. Excuses as to why he’s not fulfilling his obligations will fall on deaf ears.

I know, I know – according to most of y’all – 90% – he is exceptional. However, that’s never good enuff. 😀

What do I mean? Well, black women are used to under performing, inadequate, insufficient, dysfunctional, and irresponsible black males who, at times, do have legitimate problems. Most black women are always ready and willing to make excuses, overcompensate for  poor performance, provide excessive moral support, and see every insult or humiliation a black male endures as your own. There’s always some reason, some long winded excuse as to why he cannot be, in any reasonable fashion, like the other men in this country or even in this world. You think people might care that his problems are exceptional.

Unfortunately, the rest of the US population (if not the world) really and truly doesn’t give a damn. Their expectations are different: they don’t use a sympathy or pity curve when it comes to black males.

Yardstick: The Black Man’s Will Be Longer

See, this President will be measured by the same yardstick used on the other Presidents. In this case it seems unfair, because all the other guys are white. Even Clinton had a tough time, although he did get to use his “black male card” to explain his adulterous, lascivious, amoral, and duplicitous nature.

Can you see my point now? Your black man, in a position of responsibility, will be judged by the same, if not, much much more difficult, rigid, yet longer, yardstick than the others. Even if there is a tinge of racism in their complaints, at the end of the day, folks only care about: Did he deliver? Did he exceed those agreed upon goals? Are we pleased with his performance? Did I get what I wanted out of this?

That last sentence is key: everyone understands the notion of reciprocity, quid pro quo, “what am I getting for my support?” and “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back”, except black women. Black women are used to giving something and getting nothing in return.* No one else follows that philosophy.

So, if they continue to think he hasn’t performed, is giving his all, or exceeding expectations, then the first black President will serve only one term. Right now, he’s practically a lame duck, unless he figures out how to manage his opponents.

Frankly, I don’t see that happening.

*A few things to ponder:

  • Black women gave the President the highest percentage of votes for their demographic.
  • Was a black woman nominated for the Supreme Court? *crickets*
  • Who was the first person he tossed under the bus? Mrs Susan Rice.
  • Who was the most recent person he tossed under the bus? Mrs Shirley Sherrod.
  • Were there any black female candidates he went out of his way to support? *crickets*
  • That’s right, we cannot have any complaints, because we’re supposed to be simply grateful we got a black man as President. Which gets us exactly what?

Alrighty then.

This article is downright offensive. It’s from the Washington post:

Federal government needs a chief operating officer says a former democratic Senator, Bob Kerrey. The COO’s duties would lie in execution of government policy, including ensuring that the government is well managed and that it addresses key national priorities as one entity and not as hundreds of separate agencies operating in silos.

What are qualifications for this position? The COO should have significant business experience as well as sensitivity to the mechanics of government. That experience would serve him or her well in managing the government’s vast moving parts.

Isn’t that what the President and Vice President are supposed to be doing? Is this article saying that the current President isn’t competent?

Give U.S. More Stupid – Part 1

Corporatism Runs Amuck

According to some constitutional “scholars”, the US Congress can mandate (force, compel, threaten to jail) Americans to buy stuff, from any corporation, at any price. Why? Thanks to Supreme Court rulings via the commerce clause and their interesting re-interpretation of a plain English document (US Constitution).

I thought slavery was unconstitutional, but according to these “scholars” the US Congress can arbitrarily take our property, which is your cash, your assets, or your vital time be spent jail. They can make us permanently indebted, like indentured servants until death, to private corporations by calling this health insurance mandate a tax. Very creative. Very sinister. Very amoral.

Let’s give a rousing boo! and a middle finger to the mentally deficient corporatists who infect our government.

The Constitution says the only tax the US Congress can take is based on income. But hey, this is the US Congress. I’m sure they’ll find some other Supreme Court rulings, or re-interpret the plain English document (US Constitution) to mean whatever they want.

We’re All Cars Now

I thought a former constitutional law “professor” in the White House would have a problem with a health insurance mandate. Nope. Well, he did campaign against it, but that was then. As far as he is concerned, it is exactly like a mandate to buy car insurance.

Yup, we are all cars now. We are wards, if not property, of the state. Or to be precise, being a US Citizen will soon require us to register with the government and pay a fee on our existence. According to the US Congress, the President, and his supporters, all of whom know better than us plebs, will make us buy health insurance (and they wont stop there), because they know what’s best for us.

Forget life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must do, like good sheep, what the wise folks in Washington DC tell us to. The people who are fine with this believe that one more damn law telling us what to do from bed rise to bed rest, what you eat, to what you wear and when you wear it, etc. etc. is fine and dandy.

The law is an ass.

The US Constitution Does Not Exist

Regular, average people talk about it like it exists. Regular, average people may even like to quote it at times. In our modern, dysfunctional democratic republic, the folks we elect and their supporters, find the document to be an inconvenient, archaic, and useless relic. Hence, we get interesting re-interpretations from the Supreme Court and more re-interpretations from people who believe it should be contemporized and modernized.

How about going through the process of adding Constitutional amendments to fix it up, update it, make our freedoms permanent, instead of relying on nine fickle dictators judges? By the way, the Supreme Court is to thank for legitimizing Segregation / Jim Crow in the first place. They also had no problem having people sterilized.

Then I realized why the Constitutional amendment process doesn’t happen. The document is wholly ignored. It doesn’t exist to the three branches of government. It’s rather funny when they pretend they  will abide by it. Since when? They swear each time they are elected to uphold it. Really? Since when?

They Make Stuff Up

The Supreme Court creates new “amendments” from a blank page. This makes them free to change their minds. All I ask is: what stops them from making up new “amendments” changing it again?

I know we have no rights as spelled out in the US Constitution. Thanks to our creative writing class legislators and judges, either the Supreme Court has a ruling voiding every single amendment, or Congress has a law obliterating them. And check out this link, the President ignores the Constitution at will. What a lawless government we have.

My Favs List

I have a dream list of Constitutional amendments or federal laws. It’s a dream, because it will never happen.

– Senators serve 2 terms. Senators can be recalled in elections. If not, go back to having governors appoint them so that, in some measure, they actually represent their states and not themselves.

– Representatives serve 6 terms.

– Federal judges serve 12 years.

– Federal spending must be limited. There must be a balanced budget with no crazy astronomical debt levels, and certainly no tricky accounting to get around it.

– Senators and Representatives cannot pass legislation and make themselves exempt from it.

– Senators and Representatives do not receive benefits that exceed their time in office.

– The Supreme Court cannot make up new amendments. They cannot re-interpret the Constitution and make stuff up. How about saying, “It’s not in the document, pass a law, or add an amendment”? Oh, that’s right. These people love power too much to be modest.

– National referendums to put additional amendments up for consideration for states legislators to vote on. Although I’m starting to think perhaps they need to be bypassed, and let the referendums stand as amendments. I’m not worried about mob rule, it’s a red herring.

– Corporations are not “persons.” They are not entitled to protection from the Constitution.

– Lobbying the government should mean one US Citizen. It should not mean a representative for a corporation, school, non-profits, foreign entities, or what-have-you. It’s bribery. For politicians who collude with lobbyists, both belong in jail.

– Campaigns are publicly funded and limited in spending. No additional funds can be used. No more rich people buying an election.

– These two parties can no longer monopolize the political system. I don’t care how it’s done, there needs to be legal remedy to get other political parties to grow and compete fairly.

– A tax of 10% (poor), 15% (middle class) and maximum of 20% (wealthy) only on income, including corporations. Eliminate deductions. There will be none, not for individuals, charities, non-profits or corporations. All gone. No more subsidies. Sink or swim without aid. Filing taxes becomes a post card size process.

Two Quirky Additions

* Athletic departments of colleges / universities should incorporate as for-profit organizations, and pay the colleges for the naming rights. The athletes will be in the employ of the athletic corporation. They will be “student-athletes” and compensated for their time.

* And to be spiteful: colleges and universities that get federal funding, have to end tenure for their professors.

Why do I add that? I read the viewpoints of some of them. If they had to hustle for a “real” job, like the rest of us, they wouldn’t be writing so many stupid articles and books that have no basis in reality. Also, as cheerleaders of outsourcing, let the rest of the world compete for their jobs. Let them get a taste of true globalism.

Books or articles they write need to be filed under the category of: Give U.S. More Stupid.

Has Dignity Gone Out of Style?

I grabbed this picture from an NBC Los Angeles news website.

Reporter Brenda Lee tried to hand a letter to the Secret Service (Say what?!?). They referred her to a White House staffer. She refused to hand the letter over.

And then everything went downhill, commencing in her expulsion.

Oh, well.

Snark: The notion of a black female Supreme Court nominee gets rejected by President Obama.

When are some of us going to learn? Regardless of whether someone is black, and in charge, they, like everyone else we almost automatically defer to, should be shown some respect for their title, position, and authority. This ensures that reciprocity of polite social norms stays a two-way street.

People in these positions are not our best friend forever (bff), because they are of African descent. This is a problem some of us have of being too informal and familiar, when the occasion calls for extreme and self-aware formality. It’s not hard to do.

Eventually, they may even confer that “slack” some of us always rudely expect and demand from one another.

How about showing some dignity and common sense, please?
